We’ve all been there, and it’s a pretty despairing place to be. Somehow, it most often happens on Monday mornings, just to make it extra rough and give your week that air of frustration that makes things oh so special.

Microsoft is considered a global leader in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), and with good reason. Their 2020 Diversity and Inclusion Report, which tracks measurable metrics on the company’s commitments to increase diversion and foster inclusion, is a really strong example of honest, transparent, meaningful communication and action.

“Lack of resources” is by far the number one challenge we hear about from executives and decision-makers. To justify more resources, executives inevitably need to demonstrate clear and meaningful impact to key stakeholders.

In the mid-2000s you could not throw a Blackberry in a TED talk without hitting a shiny new Chief Digital Officer. Fast forward to mid-2021, and the landscape is quite different.
