Transforming Athens’ Tourism Economy

Over a 12-month period, we helped the agency build and launch a revenue strategy to incorporate Private-Public- Partnerships (PPPs), balance municipal and private sector interests, and provide an agile and commercial agency culture and operative model. We leveraged key metrics to better align to additional grant applications from local and national government grants previously unattained

Sowen worked with the Office de Tourisme Paris (OTCP) to combine multiple private and public data sources to model optimal target audiences, channels, messaging, and timing. Integrating insights into a cohesive strategy that leveraged high-impact activities helped us focus on fewer, highly targeted activities and audiences, dramatically increasing Return on Investment (ROI).

Building and Launching A DMO

Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs) are created by cities to promote the city brand across relevant markets. The creation of YesMilano, which Sowen was an integral part of, helped the city re-establish it’s position as a premier global destination, and drive significant increases to the city’s economy.
